1.天理教紹介

天理教は、キリスト教系でも、仏教系でも、神道系でもありません。 今から180年前に、奈良県天理市で始まったオリジナル宗教です。 本部は、奈良県天理市にあります。
Tenrikyo is neither a branch of Christianity, Buddhism, nor Shinto. It is a religion of its own which started 180 years ago in Tenri City, Nara Prefecture. The Church Headquarters of Tenrikyo is also located in Tenri, Nara.
2.親神様、陽気ぐらし

天理教の神様は、親神・天理王命様と言います。中央のお社が、親神様です。 親神様は、この世界と人間を作られた、元の神様です。 親神様の教えの根本は、陽気ぐらしです。 陽気ぐらしは、神様の子供である人間が、仲良くたすけあって生きることです。
In Tenrikyo we refer to God as our Parent, and we call God, Tenri-O-no-Mikoto. The shrine in the middle is for God the Parent. God created this world and us human beings, and thus is the God of Origin. The root of God’s teachings is the Joyous Life. The Joyous Life is a life where we human beings, God’s children, live harmoniously with one another while helping one another.
3.教祖、おつとめ

次に、向かって右側のお社は、教祖・中山みき様です。親神様の教えを、私たちに伝え、自ら身に行って、手本を示されました。天理教の教祖です。
前に、５つの鳴物が置いてあるでしょう。 これは、おつとめと言って、天理教の祈りの儀式に使います。このおつとめも、教祖が教えられました。
Next, the shrine on the right is for Oyasama, also known as Miki Nakayama. Oyasama taught us God the Parent’s teachings not only by mouth but through her own actions. Oyasama is thus the Foundress of Tenrikyo.
In the front are five musical instruments. Using these instruments, the Tenrikyo service is performed, called the Otsutome. This service was also taught to us by Oyasama.
4.祖霊様

最後に、向かって左側のお社２つは、みたま様です。私たちの祖先が祀られています。
Lastly, the two shrines on the left are for our ancestors, where their souls are enshrined.
5.参拝の仕方

では、今から、一緒に参拝したいと思います。 参拝の仕方は、最初に4回手を叩きます。 次に、1回拝をします。 その後、もう一度、4回手を叩きます。 これで、1セットです。これを、親神様、教祖、みたま様と、順に行います。 いいですか？
From now, I would like to do a prayer with you. The way to do a prayer is to clap four times. We first clap four times to start the prayer, then we clap another four times to end the prayer; this is one set.
We perform a set of prayers to each shrine: God the Parent, Oyasama, and our ancestors, respectively. Are you ready?
6.参拝
